Most household fires are determined to have been very preventable. Accidents are more prone to happen when we are in the swing of everyday life. The National Fire Prevention Association works without end each year to bring more attention of how preventable fires are to the public.

There are laundry list of things tips to remember in order to prevent fires, but if you follow three of the most common you significantly decrease your chances of having a household fire.

According to NFPA, three tips that prevent fires in your household:

  1. Use extreme caution while cooking
  2. Do not store any flammable items in places that may become hot.
  3. Unplug electrical devices when not using them.

Implementing these three simple tips will significantly decrease your chances of a household fire.
